So it appears that a tonsillectomy is in my future.

I thought this was one of those things that are reserved only for kids.  When I told Logan I would probably have to take some time off of work and eat ice cream, he told me that's only for 7 year-olds...I didn't know 7 year-olds had to take time off work for a tonsillectomy.

From what I have found online, there is a 10 - 14 day recovery period.  Right now I am on Prednisone, with the hopes that the swelling goes down enough to remove my tonsils.  They have been swollen since May.

Heading back to see the ENT doc on Thursday.  Wish me luck!

Logan and I picked up this beauty this weekend.  I found it for free on Craigslist and we are transforming it into a bed for the fur babies!  Look for in progress pics coming soon!

I started this blog with every intention to keep it up to date...

San Antonio was great, despite Logan's battle with the flu!

Here is Ethan on the patio of our suite at the Hyatt Hill Country! A big thank you to Barbara who arranged for an upgrade for us to a two bedroom suite!!!

The Alamo and Riverwalk were very cool. Logan missed both, he stayed at the resort.

My Very First Blog!!!

The New Mexico Shaughnessy family is getting ready for a trip to San Antonio! Working for Hyatt Hotels, one of our benefits is that we get 12 complimentary room nights at Hyatts worldwide every year! Not that we get the opportunity to use that many a year, but it's great to take advantage of when you can.

Right before school started last year, we spent 3 nights at the Manchester Grand in San Diego. It was the first time the boys had ever seen the ocean. Ethan kept telling me he didn't like the beach, but he couldn't stop giggling the entire time we were there.
So...back to our planned trip to San Antonio...We will be staying at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. This is my first time staying at another one of our resorts. The property I work for is one of the best resorts in the company, so I have pretty high expectations! I hear lots of great things about this property and can't want to just float down the lazy river and enjoy getting away.
My good friend Barbara lives in San Antonio now, so I can't wait to spend a little time with her and her family while we are there.
